Easy Steps to Add New Event/Date to the Calendar...
Harry Shields volunteered over 500 hours restoring Tylee Park in downtown Hubbard (Trumbull County). It had been neglected for many years and he wanted to see it cleaned up. Along with a handful of community volunteers, the park underwent a total transformation. The flower beds were torn out and replaced with formal boxwood and rose beds. The Gazebo and Santa's Cottage were repaired and painted, as were the 14 benches in the park. He hopes making a difference on a local level creates pride in his community and hopefully will foster a ripple effect that impacts many areas.
It's almost time for spring planting. Thank you Harry for giving back - you do make a difference!
